Betty The Shark USA east coast tour

We're soon going to play for the first time outside of France with my band Betty The Shark, so come see us if you are around NY, Wilmington or Charleston in April! here is the poster and some of our music :)

Ice Ice Baby

This is our Iceland movie, we almost brought a filmer with us on that trip but that didn't happen and we just thought we'd try to make a movie on our own, all taking turns filming and I did this little 10 minute edit. Check it out!

Antipodes trip

J'ai passe quelques jours a Byron Bay avec tout le team SOSH, Mathias Dandois et Maxime Charveron en bmx, et Jeremy Flores, Maxime Huscenot et moi en surf, pour le tournage du film Antipodes. 
C'etait une bonne idee de melanger plusieurs disciplines sur un trip, on a eu droit a une petite lecon de bmx et surtout c'etait vraiment impressionant de voir Mathias et Maxime a l'action.

Spirit Of Akasha

I've been in Australia for a few weeks now, I first came for a Sosh surf/BMX trip and the Roxy Pro trials, but a lot of other cool things popped up since I'm here. One of them is that I got to work on the soundtrack of Andrew Kidman's new movie, Spirit Of Akasha. I did a little collaboration with the Canyons on 2 songs, which should sound pretty cool!

Spirit Of Akasha is a movie celebrating the 40 years anniversary of Albert Falzon's Morning of The Earth film. Here's the trailer:

On est arrivés en Californie le 22 Décembre, juste aprés la soi-disant fin du monde. J'ai passe l'année a penser que je fêterais bien la fin de mon existence sur cette planete, mais au final j'ai completement oublie, et comme les mayas se sont apparemment trompes, on s'est un peu tous sentis bêtes le 22. Je n'imagine même pas les gens qui ont acheté des rations de nourriture pour les 20 prochaines années.

 Revenons a la traversée des US. On est partis de Caroline Du Sud, sans trop savoir quel serait notre programme et combien de temps on prendrait. La premiere partie du voyage etait plutot tranquille, le gens du Sud sont tres agréables et partout ou on s'arretait on rencontrait des gens qui se demandaient ce que faisait une Francaise dans ce coin perdu. La serveuse d'un bar, Gloria, nous raconte qu'elle jouait dans un groupe qui s'appelait "Merci Beaucoup", mais qu'ils ont arreté. Elle est blonde platine, tres maquillee et j'ai du mal a comprendre ce qu'elle raconte. Apparement elle essayait d'etre la nouvelle Blondie, mais ca n'avait pas trop marché.

 Notre premier arrêt était Nashville. C'est la mecque de la musique Country aux Etats-Unis, et tous les bars ont des groupes qui jouent toute la journee et espere reussir dans le milieu. On est arrivés une heure apres la fermeture du magasin de guitare, ce qui etait surement un cadeau du ciel pour mon compte en banque.

 

On a repris la route et conduit 28 heures sans s'arreter. Vers 3 heures de l'apres midi, aprés ce qui semblait etre une eternité dans la voiture, on est arrivés au Grand Canyon. Je pense qu'on a du prendre la mauvaise route et on s'est retrouvés dans un coin perdu. En essayant de trouver un hotel ce soir la, on s'est rendu compte que l'hiver il neige en Arizona. Apres avoir failli rester bloques dans le blizzard a Flagstaff, on a finalement trouve un hotel sur la route 66.

 Les dernieres 9 heures de route sont passees plutot vite, et pendant le voyage j'ai pu ecouter 4 fois l'integrite de mon Ipod., Je suis contente d'avoir pu voir l'interieur des Etats-Unis meme si le surf m'a manqué au bout de 3 jours enfermée dans une voiture.

To start the year on a good note, here is a new video I made from last October in France. I had such a good time hanging out with friends in Hossegor, getting barreled everyday, and watching the Quiksilver Pro France whenever we weren't surfing.
It was the final day of the Quik Pro and the waves were perfect, we decided to run away from the crowds and surf that little sandbar by ourselves. For me it was one of those days when, even though the waves are perfect, I couldn't seem to get into a good rythm, broke my board, borrowed Edouard's board for the rest of the session but kept getting into close outs. All of my friends were ripping though, so check out the video to see them shred!

South Carolina

Just posting some news from Charleston, SC. I've been here for a few days, also spent some time in Charlotte doing the mix of the Betty The Shark album at the Sioux Sioux studios. It's pretty cool to see this side of the US, and we had some fun little waves at Folly beach. We will hit the road in a few days towards California.

It's pretty cool and brings back all the good memories of the summer! The album is now ready and mixed, and we will release it at some point in 2013. News

This is my last day in France for 2012!
Im leaving tomorrow for the US where I'll spend the winter. Last few weeks have been pretty intense, we got to record the rest of the songs at the studio with Betty The Shark. We're pretty stoked with the outcome, now we have to mix everything and hopefully we can release a debut album next year.
The surf has been fun too, the water is slowly getting colder here though, but still alright! Can't wait to be in California again this year and surf all the point-breaks.

good Icelandic tunes

Here's some music I discovered in Iceland. We saw Hermigervill play live in a bar which was pretty awesome, then one of the guys from GusGus was DJing at some other bar. And I bought Retro Stefson's last album at a local music store.

Iceland was the best

That trip was even better than expected. In a few words, we surfed perfect waves, saw northern lights, had bon fires, ate salmon, when out to some good gigs in Reykjavik, met really cool people, flew over the glaciers in a private plane.. Also, Jessi almost burnt a restaurant, Sof meditated behind a waterfall, Pauline showed everyone her skateboarding skills at the local skatepark, I ate way too many hot dogs, Amandine played the same song a million times in the car. We're editing a video, will keep you updated with that!

Iceland is an amazing surf destination and it wasn't even that cold. Like our local friend Ingo says: "In Iceland, if you don't like the weather, wait a minute" (still trying to figure out what he meant by that).

Iceland !!

Leaving for Iceland today with Amandine Sanchez, Pauline Ado, Sofia Mulanovich, Jessi Miley Dyer and Emmy Martens.  I always dreamt of going there and to do this trip with good friends should be a great experience! Im taking three boards, a guitar and a little pig-nose amp, a 6'6 mm wetsuit, booties gloves, and the warmest clothes I found at the Roxy store! Lets gooooooo!

cours de surf avec Xavier et Kevin

Voici un petit clip qu'on a fait avec e-adrenaline, on est alles surfer avec Kevin Rolland et Xavier Bertoni (skieurs professionels) a la plage des estagnots. La prochaine fois c'est moi qui aurai droit a un petit cours de ski aux x-games, j'ai interet a m'entrainer car je ne serai surement pas aussi douée qu'eux en surf!

France is pretty much the best when the waves are good, theres nowhere else I would rather be right now. Yesterday, while Kelly was on his way to win his 51st WT event, we went to this little beach break with my friends and scored fun barrels with only a few people out.
